biography

Kevin Flanagan is a Partner at PLP Architecture and an architect with 33 years’ experience establishing a reputation for award-winning designs throughout major world cities. At PLP Architecture Kevin has worked as Designer Partner on projects that include The Edge, the world’s most sustainable office building developed by OVG Real Estate for Deloitte in Amsterdam. Kevin is currently working on PLP’s timber tower research project together with the University of Cambridge. The feasibility proposals imagine the future development of laminated timber tall buildings. Exemplary projects, while at KPF, include Provinciehuis (the Provincial Parliament Building) and the De Hoftoren Tower – both in The Hague, Netherlands; and the landmark Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) Headquarters building in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Architectural Association in London, England and Carleton University in Canada, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Texas, with a Scholarship in Rome. He is a Past – President and long-standing director of the American Institute of Architects AIA/UK Chapter and has served as an international architectural editor. Kevin has lectured and has been exhibited widely.
