What can attendees expect from the conference

SBC will allow delegates to have a deeper understanding of the built environment, and how it impacts the AV industry. The event will also help to highlight what AV can do in smart buildings, and where business opportunities lie.

Confirmed speakers include Paul Marsden, author of Digital Quality Management in Construction, who will focus on latest technologies that will change smart buildings and become important to our industry. Erik Ubels, Chief Technology Officer, EDGE will share expertise, having overseen completion the EDGE Olympic building in Amsterdam (and having previously completed the world-famous EDGE building). Ken Dooley, Technology Director at Granlund will discuss the company’s recent work on a smart campus project. Aryanour Djalali, Chairman & CEO, DNA BARCELONA ARCHITECTS will provide global industry insights and perspective from the viewpoint of an award-winning international architect.

Communicating with industry colleagues has always formed a key part of SBC, and 2020 will see additional community-building opportunities to connect with delegates with the introduction of a series of workshops. In these networking sessions, delegates will be able to take part in smaller group discussions, hear each other’s voices and establish new business connections as part of the smart building community.

Smart Building Conference (SBC) is a full-day conference produced by Integrated Systems Events. SBC is the must-attend pan European conference for professionals working in the smart buildings, smart homes and smart workplaces industry. It is being held on 10 February 2020 at the Hotel Okura on the day before Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), the world’s largest exhibition for professional AV and systems integration (11-14 February 2020, RAI Amsterdam).
